Animal infectious diseases are of great relevance to society. The transmission of infectious diseases can occur from animals to humans, which is known as zoonoses, but it can also occur from humans to animals. There are many diseases that are fatal for some species, and can affect wild animals in danger of extinction, with the consequent risk of the species becoming permanently extinct. In addition, wild animals and insects can carry very serious diseases, and can infect humans and animals. They can even act as a reservoir, and be a source of successive infections to other species.
